Other Conventions of Radio News Bulletins

In this post I am going to be looking at what else is brought to a news bulletin other than a Presenter, Jingle, weather and Travel.

Here are the other conventions:

1. Correspondent - Someone reporting the story live from where it took place.

2. Vox Pop - Members of the public commenting on the story. It could be more than one person, with different viewpoints.

3. Sound Bite - Dialog about a story from either an elite person or somebody dominantly involved in the story.

4. Outside Broadcast - Broadcast taking place outside of recording studio.

5. Expert Guest - Guest who are expertise on a certain subject.

6. Archive Clip - Something pre-recorded. Could be used people die or extracts of an elite persons work.
