Music in News Bulletins

For my radio I am going to need to use music in my news bulletins. To get an idea of what, if any music is used on a number of completely different radio news bulletins. I am going to be looking at what type of music is played, when music is played and when the music fades out.

Capital FM: Before and after the news there was a news jingle.  During the telling of the news there was no music in the background, but there was upbeat music in the background throughout the Voxpops, the upbeat music suggests the story is more positive than negative.

BBC radio 4: Before and after the news there was a news jingle. There was no music playing during the news. With no music in the background the news comes across as serious.

Magic: Before and after the news there was a new jingle. There was no music throughout the news. With no music in the background the news comes across as serious.
